Building a breadboard to do the lessons in the book. Has anybody else done this before?
Is downloading the bootloader cut and dry operation? |

A breadboard is the simplest and cheaper way to start with. Another way is using a standard platform like development boards in order to build and test your projects, something closer to real hardware. Personally I prefer to use them for developing and prototyping small projects.
