Hi,
I have a 20x4 LCD module that I used before. I now find that an entire line of pixels in one of the columns are fading. I increased the adjusted the contrast but it made no difference, is there any way this can be corrected.
The module is TC2004A, link http://www.oppod.com/LCM_SPEC%5CCharacter%5CTC2004A.PDF
thanks

Time to replace the lcd -
This can happen for a number of reasons - but most likely is poor conact between controller and the glass panel contacts for row driving MPX.
Can happen with any LCD - but being a cheepie brand probably does not help much.
Beware as this could be a lot-sensitive, systematic problem with this part.
The fix ?
Throw away - get new LCD.
It is not a PIC problem. |
