RTDM code port for use with DMCI on pic18? |

Hello,
Has anyone done a pic18 port of the Microchip Real-Time Data Monitoring (RTDM) code or thought of this? Found nothing at the web. I want to use the (super cool) Microchip DMCI tool (Data Monitoring and Control Interface - here some pictures http://www.microchip.com/forums/m164671.aspx) interfacing over rs232 comm with the pic - to read and write random ram addresses. It is very useful for control loop tuning... The RTDM lib is coded for their c compiler and 16bit pics, but it is a simple protocol.
I looked at the code and thought: should be possible.
Thank you for any help. |

Hello,
for information: I've ported the code from the Microchip sources to ccs code weeks ago. It's ingenious what's possible with this! e.g. the slider controls to inject random data to ram addresses. A quick tuning of my desired control loop was possible without a own piece of windows gui. Ask, if you have a use for this. |
