Today a new pickit 3 arrived by post and I've tried to program the same 12F1822 chips with it. And they worked.

Seems like my icd-64 is not able to program the 12f1822 configuration words.

You are absolutely right.

The configuration/ID part of the ccs device programmer is always 3FF8.

I've erased the chip, then read the contents, the conf is 3FF8.

Programmed it with the above simple code, the conf is 3FF8. ...

Yes the issue is probably something like that. I've read the chip and my config word is 3FF8.

Compiling the code on ccs ide. Not using mplab.

I'm using CCS device programmer 5.041 and an ICD-64 ...

Thanks for the quick reply. Although it is missing at the schematic, there is a 470 ohm resistor in series with the led at the actual circuit. And brownout is also disabled on the fuses.
